6/29/2023 0 Comments Ozzy by Rowan Massey![]() ![]() I never felt more struggled to write a review until now. None of them can be read as a stand-alone novel. Although other books in this series fit the romance genre, this one does not. This is a dark series that doesn't hold back on the tragedy. There are changes and dangers around every corner, war is brewing in Emporium, and Wally is torn in two directions while wanting only peace for those he loves. The money is good, his new romance is developing quickly, and everything in life seems better than ever, but the new people in his life will bring more chaos into his world than he ever could have imagined. On the same night, the man he knows as Doc asks him if he'd like a job in a research lab. When a new dealer shows up in place of their old one, Wally is immediately attracted and finds himself with the possibility of his first boyfriend. Part of the town of Emporium's homeless since he was twelve and a drug addict just as long, fifteen-year-old Wally spends his days barely surviving, and his nights dancing while high and blood-soaked. Most people thought our drug made us into freaks, but I say it made us happier than any other bunch of freaks in the world. ![]()

6/29/2023 0 Comments The Last Temptation by Neil Gaiman![]() Music videos were made for "Lost in America" and "It's Me". It was originally published by Marvel Comics and later reprinted by Dark Horse Comics, collected as trade paperback. ![]() Pages from the comic are seen in the Lost in America music video, while it is being read by Steven. In the comic, the showman (referred to only ever as such) was depicted as Cooper himself. The full story was given in a three-part comic book written by Neil Gaiman, the first part of which accompanied the recording. The album once again features collaborations with some high-profile guests: Chris Cornell of Soundgarden co-wrote and sings on two songs, Dan Wexler of Phoenix metallers Icon co-wrote four songs including the single "Lost in America" where he also plays guitar, and Derek Sherinian of Dream Theater plays keyboards. The showman, with apparent supernatural abilities, attempts with the use of twisted versions of morality plays to persuade Steven to join his traveling show, "The Theater of the Real - The Grand-est Guignol!", where he would "never grow up". It centers on a boy named Steven (also the name of the protagonist in Cooper's earlier work, Welcome to My Nightmare), and a mysterious showman. ![]() The Last Temptation is the thirteenth solo studio album by American rock singer Alice Cooper, released on July 12, 1994, by Epic Records. ![]() ![]() ![]() Like his brother, the late king, he is fascinated by an ancient text called The Way of Kings. ![]() In a war that makes no sense, where ten armies fight separately against a single foe, he struggles to save his men and to fathom the leaders who consider them expendable.īrightlord Dalinar Kholin commands one of those other armies. It is a part of the well regarded series commenced with "Discovery Illustrated: Pictures from Captain Scott's First Antarctic Expedition" (2001). Wilson, "Nimrod Illustrated" is a treat for anyone interested in Shackleton, the Antarctic, polar exploration or the atmosphere of the Edwardian age. This was the expedition that made Shackleton's name as an explorer and for which he was awarded his knighthood. Coming off the success of this one, it is hard for me to believe, but this one was even better! I blew through this book in two days. I read The Forest of Stolen Girls last year and it was one of my favorite books of last year, which I know isn’t a popular opinion, but I don’t care. ![]() It’s clear to me that June Hur has now solidified her place as a auto-read author for me with this novel. The early parts of the book are inter-linked with the hidden truth of the latter parts of the book as Kelsier’s often spoken dialogue “Every secret has a secret”. The writer beautifully creates the symmetry in the book. If you consider this book an expedition of disclosure, you won’t be wrong. In my opinion, this story needs a great attention of the readers and they are not to skip its lines so that they could grasp the whole gist of the story, as many truths reveal bit by bit. Their stories are quite mysterious and they have enough content to capture reader’s attention. Thus, their stories unveil the background history of the world of Roshar. ![]() All the characters tell their stories individually, they all have unique and interesting story. The book is creepy-type, which captures the attention of the readers, and they don’t like to close the book due to the imaginations they’re having as they read.
